Dr. Juan Young is currently an Assistant Professor within Queen's University's Department of Psychiatry. He is a medical graduate of the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay College of Medicine in the Philippines. He completed his general psychiatry training in the Case Western Reserve University MetroHealth Psychiatry Residency Program and his geriatric psychiatry training at the Yale School of Medicine's Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship. He is also a graduate of the Yale Clinical Epidemiology and Aging Related Research Program in Geriatrics, and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Yale's Department of Psychiatry. His research background includes epidemiologic study of aging populations, clinical trial research of novel therapeutic interventions for progressive cognitive disorders, and the study of neuroinflammation and inflammaging as they relate to the pathological and neuropsychiatric phenotypes of age-related neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's disease.
