Meg McQueen is the Clinical Director for the Developmental Disabilities Consulting Program in the Department of Psychiatry at Queen’s University, where she has worked for over 15 years. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in the School of Medicine and the School of Rehabilitation at Queen’s.
As a senior occupational therapist, Meg provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities and dual diagnoses across the lifespan. Her research and publications focus on applied interventions for individuals with intellectual disabilities, particularly in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), end-of-life care, and sensory processing. Her earlier work emphasized interprofessional education and communication in the field of developmental disabilities.
Originally from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Meg has dedicated the past five years to developing rural interprofessional clinics in Northern Ontario. Her efforts aim to build capacity and increase access to essential services in hard-to-reach communities.
