I completed Medical School in Colombo, Sri Lanka before moving to Toronto, Canada to complete a Master’s in Bioethics and a Fellowship in Medical Education at the University of Toronto. I completed my psychiatry residency in 2015 at Queen’s.
I see myself as an aspiring teacher turned clinician. I have been actively involved in teaching since residency and it was a natural transition to take up the position as the pre-clerkship course director for Psychiatry at Queen’s Medical school. My clinical practice focuses on early intervention in young adults presenting with a variety of mental illnesses.
