Dr. Zoë Selhi, MA, MD, FRCP(C) joined Queens University in 2022 as an Assistant Professor in the Division of Forensic & Correctional Psychiatry. She is board certified as a forensic psychiatrist in the US and Canada. She completed psychiatry residency at the Harvard Longwood program in Boston and forensic fellowship training at the University of Massachusetts. She is currently an inpatient forensic psychiatrist at Providence Care Hospital in Kingston Ontario where she conducts criminal evaluations and follows the UST & NCRMD population under the Ontario Review Board.
Prior to returning to Canada, Dr. Selhi worked as a forensic evaluator for the Commonwealth of PA and Lancaster County Adult Probation & Parole. She also worked part time as a psychiatrist at Lancaster General Health c/o UPenn. Dr. Selhi previously worked for the Department of Corrections in both PA and NJ, and at several state hospitals across PA doing forensic evaluations.
Dr. Selhi has an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Master of Arts in Criminology, both from the University of Toronto. She has specialized training and experience in women’s mental health. Her current research interests include dual role relationships in forensic psychiatry and the High Risk Accused (HRA) population in Canada.
