Dr. Ghida Kassir completed her medical training in 2018 at the American University of Beirut (AUB), followed by a residency in psychiatry where she also served as Chief Resident. During this time, she she worked part-time as an adult psychiatrist with EMBRACE, a Lebanese NGO collaborating with the Ministry of Public Health on mental health initiatives.
Dr. Kassir then joined the University of Toronto in August 2023 to pursue further specialization. She completed fellowships at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences in both Adolescent Psychiatry and Eating Disorders, and Treatment-Resistant Psychiatric Disorders and Brain Stimulation Therapies.
In addition, Dr. Kassir has a proven track record in academic research, with numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals. She is passionate about mental health equity and reducing disparities in mental illness and access to treatment through advocacy and research.
