Dr. St. Denis is a geriatric psychiatrist who joined the Division of Geriatric Psychiatry at Queen’s University in 2021. She completed her MSc. in Community Health and Epidemiology at Queen’s University, and later worked for the Canadian Institute for Health Information in their Health Indicators Department, working on developing mental health indicators. She then completed her M.D. from the Medical University of the Americas, completing rotations across the United States and Canada. She completed both her general psychiatry and geriatric psychiatry residency training at Queen’s University becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2020. Dr. St. Denis has an interest in capacity assessments and how this skill is taught to trainees. She also has an interest in mood and anxiety disorders in older adults and is in the process of becoming certified in Interpersonal Therapy. She is helping to develop a mood and anxiety disorder clinic specific to older adults and expand psychotherapy for older adults at Providence Care Hospital.
