About the Division
The Division of Adult Psychotic Disorders is dedicated to providing comprehensive assessment and treatment for individuals aged 18 years and older with a primary diagnosis of a major psychotic disorder. These include:
- Schizophrenia
- Schizoaffective Disorder
- Delusional Disorder
- Other Primary Psychotic Disorders
Our mission is to deliver innovative, patient-centered care while advancing research and education in the field of psychotic disorders.
Clinical Services
- Inpatient Care:
Specialized treatment is provided at Providence Care Hospital, with 48 beds across two wards designed for individuals requiring intensive support.
- Outpatient Care & Relapse Prevention:
Hospital-based outpatient services focus on continuity of care and relapse prevention strategies.
- Collaborative Approach:
Our experienced inter-professional team works closely with patients and their existing mental health care providers to ensure seamless, integrated care.

The Division is a major provider of educational opportunities for healthcare learners and trainees. We are actively engaged in research initiatives aimed at improving the understanding and treatment of psychotic disorders.
Referrals
Referrals for both inpatient and outpatient services are accepted from a patient’s existing health care provider.
