Queen’s University’s Online Psychotherapy Lab (QUOPL)

Queen’s University’s Online Psychotherapy Lab (QUOPL), Led by Dr. Nazanin Alavi psychiatrist and assistant professor at department of psychiatry at Queen’s university is located at KHSC, Hotel Dieu Hospital site, Adult Mental Health Program.

QUOPL aims to improve the lives of all those affected by mental health disorders through the advancement in mental health research. QUOPL designs different online psychotherapy modules for various mental illnesses.

Our lab designs and conducts a variety of research projects through an online platform (OPTT) on the assessment, treatment, and effectiveness of different psychotherapy modalities including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Relapse Prevention, and in the treatment of Depression and Anxiety disorders, Borderline Personality disorder, Substance use disorder and Insomnia to address the barriers in receiving psychotherapy.
