Congratulations to Dr. Platt

I am delighted to announce that our own Dr. Elyse Platt is the winner of the 2020 KJR Wightman Award for Scholarship in Ethics for her paper on “Depression and The Desire to Die – Implications for Medical Assistance in Dying”.

The Royal College presents this award for scholarship in ethics for the best scholarly paper presented by a resident registered in a postgraduate program. The award is named for Dr. Keith J.R. Wightman, Sir John and Lady Eaton Chair of the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto Medical School from 1960 to 1970.

Dr. Platts' achievement will be recognized with a cash prize, a Royal College certificate, and with the posting of her winning manuscript on the Royal College’s website.

Congrats Elyse, we are extremely proud of you!!
