Life in Kingston

Kingston is located on the picturesque shores at the junction of Lake Ontario, the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau Canal. Being at the intersection of these three important waterways means that Kingston has a rich history, including being the first capital of Canada.

While the population of Greater Kingston is just over 130,000 we have the cultural and social facilities of a much larger city including a symphony orchestra, a vibrant arts community, great dining and nightlife as well as some of the best sailing in Canada.

The standard of living in Kingston is very high with housing and the cost of living being much lower than you might expect. All of this combined with the friendly and relaxed college town environment provides an idyllic setting to practise medicine.
